Edlesborough Green

The Parish Council would like to say a very big thank you to Tessa Williamson who has been carrying out weekly litter picks on the Green for twelve years and a thank you to Sue Parker and Gill Woodhouse for their contribution and continuing the work. Julie Morgan has agreed to join the team. If anybody else or any organisation would like to help please let the Parish Council know.

Dagnall

The legal documentation for the path between Dunstable Road and the Recreation Field has been completed. Work will shortly begin on the path. This will be run by DROPS (Dagnall Rescues Old Pond Site).

Northall

Following the Parish Council’s continuing endeavours to improve traffic calming in the Parish Northall was chosen for the proposed Local Safety Scheme 2003/04. This meant that Buckinghamshire County Council implemented a comprehensive scheme with new road, Northall and 40 mph signs and roundels to make traffic using the A4146 more aware of the speed limit. Other measures were also included such as cutting back hedges.

The Parish Council is in the early stages of trying to improve the safety of children waiting for the school buses. In particular it is looking to see if there is a better place for children to stand while waiting for the School bus and to dis-embark in the afternoon. One of the places being considered is on the area of "amenity" land near Knolls View. If any parishioner has any thoughts on possible areas to wait, improvements that can be made or any ideas please contact the Clerk.
