Street Lighting

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Parish Council street lighting Contractors are unable to carry out repairs, the Parish Council organised for an alternative Contractor who unfortunately has had to delay repairs due to ill health but should be able to resume repairs to the street lights currently affected at the beginning of April. The Parish Council sincerely apologise to Parishioners who have reported faulty lights and to the Parishioners as a whole for this continued delay but are doing all they can to rectify the situation.

Grass Cutting

The County grass cutting commenced on 19th February and reached our Parish early March and will be carried out on a regular basis during the coming months.

Allotments

All allotments at The Green have now been taken but a few remain at Cow Lane. If anyone wishes to take on an allotment would they please contact the Clerk.

Waste Disposal Lorries / A4146

Since the opening of the Stoke Hammond By-pass Northall, Edlesborough and Dagnall are experiencing major problems with extremely large lorries coming from London to deposit waste at the Bletchley Waste Disposal site whose entrance is immediately at the end of the By-pass, together with a noticeable increase in traffic. The Parish Council have contacted Buckinghamshire County Council, John Bercow MP and our County Councillor, Avril Davies, and this matter is being looked into.

Flower Festivals

The Parish Council have made donations to both Edlesborough Methodist Church and St. Mary’s Church, Eaton Bray towards flower arrangements.

London-Luton Airport

The Parish Council will be responding to the Consultation regarding proposed increased air traffic affecting the Parish.

Edlesborough Cemetery Access

Further meetings are being held to discuss alternative schemes.

Parish Meetings

The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Thursday 17th April 2008 preceeding the Ordinary Parish meeting.

The Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 15th May 2008 preceeding the Ordinary Parish meeting.
