Village Freighter

A reminder of dates for later in the year are:

  • Edlesborough Tuesday 23rd November 7.30am – 11.00am in the Memorial Hall car park
  • Dagnall Thursday 18th November 7.30am – 11.00am in Dagnall Village Hall car park
  • Northall Wednesday 24th November 12noon – 3.30pm in Northall Village Hall car park

Dates of Parish Council Meetings

Parish Council and General Purpose Committee Meetings will not be held in August. The next GPC meeting takes place on Wednesday 1st September and the Parish Council meeting on Thursday 16th September.

Memorial Hall

Following the re-decoration of the main hall Hirers will be requested not to put any drawing pins or adhesive fixings on the walls.

Memorial Hall & Pavilion Car Parks

A meeting has taken place regarding the feasibility of installing CCTV cameras in the Pavilion car park positioned so that they do not intrude on neighbouring properties. CCTV cameras will be considered for the Memorial Hall car park in due course.

Edlesborough Pavilion

Parishioners are urgently requested to contact Cllr David Brown regarding feedback to the Questionnaires handed out at the Carnival and also given to all Sports Clubs who currently use the building in order that the Parish Council may consider what decisions need to be discussed.

Allotments

It has been brought to the attention of the Parish Council that during the recent very dry weather conditions some tenants have been seen using hoses and sprinklers and it would remind tenants of clause n) in the Tenancy Agreement which reads: 'The Tenants shall not use a hosepipe or sprinkler on the Allotment'.

Edlesborough Parish Council and EDaN

A very informative presentation has been given to the Parish Council by members of the EDaN steering group, who continue to work towards achieving many topics of concern to the Parish.

Road Safety

The Parish Council will be liaising with Edlesborough School regarding various issues of road safety particularly the parking problems in the High Street and Pebblemoor.

Litter Bins

It is proposed that additional larger litter bins will be placed on the verges outside the Green to replace the smaller bins currently situated on the Green, which will be emptied by AVDC and reduce the need for volunteers.

Dagnall

The Parish Council are waiting to hear from Tesco Insurers regarding a claim for the damage streetlight.

Northall/Edlesborough

The request for clearing footpaths in Northall and between Northall and Edlesborough has again been brought to the attention of Bucks CC and this will be carried out as soon as conveniently possible.

South End Lane & Chapel Lane, Northall

Work has at last commenced on forming the footpaths and roadworks in South End Lane and the Parish Council will ensure that these are carried out as originally intended. Large pot holes in Chapel Lane have been reported for urgent repair.

Thames Valley Police will be attending Parish Council meetings once a quarter commencing at the October meeting, when parishioners are very welcome to attend to put any concerns they may have to the Police.
