Parish Council meeting – dates and venues

On Thursday 15th May Edlesborough Parish Council held their AGM followed by the Ordinary Parish Meeting. Below is a summary of the two meetings, the full minutes can be found at www.edlesborough-pc.gov.uk

AGM Report

Cllr Alan Williams was voted as the new Chairperson for the Parish Council with Cllr John Wilkinson continuing in the position of Vice-Chair. Cllr Kevin Cubbage was thanked and praised for all his hard work and dedication to the Parish Council.

Cllr Wilkinson who is currently the Parish Councils’ planning representative for the entire Parish, agreed to continue but felt that representatives from Dagnall and Northall should be involved and take responsibility for reviewing planning applications in their own villages.

EPC Meeting

Pot Holes

The numerous potholes and condition of the roads and pavements around the Parish continue to be regularly reported to Transport for Bucks. The Council encourages Parishioners report issues directly to Transport for Bucks via the website www.buckscc.gov.uk/telltfb or by ringing the fault reporting line on 0845 230 2882.

Grass Cutting

Grass cutting within the Parish was discussed at length in particular the reduction in the number of cuts per year.

Memorial Hall

Usage of the Memorial Hall continues to grow with a new Yoga class on Thursday mornings. For more information about this or other classes using the hall please see the Noticeboards or contact the Manager.

Councillors agreed to change the Memorial Hall energy supplier to British Gas for the next twelve months.

The Green & Pavilion

Now that the football season has ended repairs will be carried out to the adult goal mouths. These areas will be temporarily fenced off to allow the grass to regrow and to protect the repair work.

Councillors agreed to change the Pavilion energy supplier to British Gas for the next twelve months.

Streetlights

Several lights have been reported to the technician for repairs. Please remember to report any faulty streetlights to the Clerk (details below) NOT AVDC or Bucks CC.

Facebook

Edlesborough Parish Council now have their own Facebook Page. It is hoped that the Facebook Page will be another way to communicate with the Parishioners and enable Parishioners to see:

  • Updates about the work the Council is doing.
  • Information about upcoming meetings.
  • What is being discussed at a public meeting.
  • Photographs of what is happening in the area.

The page can also be used to report problems such as faulty streetlights to the Council or to ask questions.
