Manager

As reported last month Beverly Sage has now become the Assistant Clerk and the Parish Council wish to appoint a Manager who will take over all responsibilities for the Memorial Hall, Pavilion, the Green (including regular inspection of the play area and all sport related events which take place on the Green) and who will also act as Booking Secretary taking bookings and signing hiring contracts for the Memorial Hall, collecting Hall hire fees and issuing receipts and to arrange issuing and returning of keys as appropriate. To make regular checks of the Memorial Hall and Pavilion and liaise with the Cleaner to ensure that all cleaning activities are carried out.

Speed Limit Review - Area 13

The latest information from Bucks CC is that the Speed Limit Review will not now be implemented until January 2012.

Car Parks

Signs are to be erected in both the Memorial Hall and Pavilion Car Parks stating that they are not to be used after 11.00pm. The Police will check on any vehicles parked after this time.

Litter Bins

3 larger litter bins to be purchased, 2 to be installed in the Pavilion car park and 1 in the Memorial Hall car park.

The Green

The football clubs who currently use the Green have volunteered to carry out minor repairs to improve the condition of the football pitches, the cost of materials being paid by the Parish Council.

Cemetery

Despite the ‘No Parking’ notices on the cars are still parking in this area and although it is very difficult to park close by to the Church and Cemetery the bridleway must be kept clear for reasons reported in the October Focus.

War Memorials

Work will commence on the refurbishment of both Edlesborough and Dagnall War Memorials on 11th October.

Remembrance Sunday - 13th November 2011

The Remembrance Service will this year take place at Edlesborough War Memorial at 11.00 am. The A4146 will be closed from its junction with Eaton Bray Road to the junctions with Cock’s Close and Ivinghoe Way from 10.50am - 11.20am. Diverskions will be manned and sign-posted through Eaton Bray Road - ~Eaton Bray - Moor End -Edlesborough High Street - Pebblemoor.

The Council are waiting for a response from Bucks CC.

Allotments

The majority of rents have been collected with some outstanding and until all rents have been received it is uncertain at the moment whether any allotments will be available for re-letting. If, however, anyone wishes to go on the waiting list for an allotment at Dagnall, Northall, Cow Lane or The Green please contact the Clerk. Priority is given to parishioners.
