A reminder of dates of visits to Villages of Edlesborough, Dagnall & Northall

Play Around the Parishes Play Scheme

Dates of events to be held on The Green, Edlesborough, Dagnall Recreation Field and Northall Village Hall green area are as follows:

  • Dagnall – Wednesday 30th July 10am-12.30pm: Friday 15th August 2pm-4.30pm:Thursday 28th August 2pm-4.30pm
  • Edlesborough – Friday 1st August 2pm-4.30pm:Monday 11th August 10am-12.30pm:Friday 22nd August 10am-12.30pm
  • Northall: Tuesday 5th August 10am-12.30pm: Tuesday 19th August 2pm-4.30pm: Wednesday 27th August 10am-12.30pm

Children aged between 4 and 12 years are eligible to attend any of the sessions but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Finance

The Annual Return for the year ended 31st March 2007 has been audited and notices to this effect will appear on the village Notice Boards.

Streetlighting

Due to the problems created by the streetlight situated on the pavement outside the Old Greyhound at Church End, Edlesborough this column will be removed and re-sited on the opposite side of the road.

The Green, Edlesborough & Dagnall Recreation Field

New goalposts have been purchased for both villages, the Parish Council are grateful to EB Lions for having assisted in putting up the goalposts. Edlesborough goalposts had to be removed for St. Mary’s Village Carnival but will be reinstated.

It was confirmed by the Parish Council that Gadsden Walk footpath at Dagnall will not be opened until a safety crossing for children to walk to Dagnall School has been established in Dunstable Road.

Vandalism

Broken roof tiles and guttering are constantly being repaired on the Pavilion.

Road Repairs/missing signs etc.

Buckinghamshire County Council are aware of repairs necessary to the Parish roads and ‘gangs’ of workmen will visit the Parish on a rota system throughout the year to deal with the problems.

Cemetery Access Project

A revised specification is currently being considered by The Churches Conservation Trust prior to the Parish Council being able to send this out for tenders.
