Notice to residents of Edlesborough and Eaton Bray that Mink have been seen along the brook which runs between the two boundaries, traps have been laid. Mink are not a protected species and are known to attack any other animals therefore a close eye should be kept on all pets.

Memorial Hall

New boilers have been installed and redecoration taken place during the summer.

Memorial Hall car park

Consideration is being given by the Parish Council with a view to extending the car park thereby doubling up the number of parking spaces to include pedestrian gateways.

Pavilion

The Parish Council would apologise for the recent unsightly appearance of the Pavilion. As what would hoped to have been a deterrent for footballs constantly being kicked against the Pavilion and damaging the guttering and roof tiles protective netting was put up but this was vandalised within a week. Other methods of endeavouring to protect the roof and guttering are being considered. 2 further seats are to be placed immediately outside the Pavilion.

Allotments

There is now a waiting list for allotments in Edlesborough and Dagnall. Allotment rents will be collected on Saturday 9th October at Edlesborough Memorial Hall 9.00am - 12noon and Sunday 10th October at Dagnall 10.30am-12noon. To avoid unnecessary administration it would be appreciated if tenants could arrange to pay rents on the given dates.

Road Safety

White lining should be taking place shortly outside Edlesborough School.

Litter Bins

Several new larger litter bins have now been installed around the perimeter of the Green which will be collected by the weekly AVDC Refuse Collection service. The yellow bins will be removed apart from the ones in the children’s play area, adjoining the Tennis Courts and in the Pavilion car park.

Northall/Edlesborough

Some work has been carried out on the pavements in Northall and towards Edlesborough, the remainder will be carried out in due course when BCC Highways’ gangs are working in the area.

Best Kept Village Competition

Despite not winning this year Edlesborough village received a Certificate of Merit.

Thames Valley Police

will be attending the Parish Council for the October meeting, when parishioners are very welcome to attend to put any concerns they may have to the Police.
