Litter enforcement

Aylesbury Vale District Council are totally committed to combating litter and are making every effort to reduce the incidents of fly tipping in the Vale.

On 1st November an anti fly tipping campaign will commence and run till the end of February 2004.

Aylesbury Vale is currently working on this campaign with three other District Councils. During this campaign they will be making use of covert cameras in an effort to bring offenders before the courts to show how determined they are to clean up the county as a whole.

More details will be available in the local papers and on notice boards and in a future article in Focus.

The local Litter enforcement Officer is George Duguid. As stated in the May issue of Focus part of his remit is to obtain evidence of fly tipping etc. with a view to prosecuting people who dump on the highway.

George is reliant on the general public being vigilant and where possible providing him with vehicle registration numbers, details of cars and descriptions of persons involved. George Duguid can be contacted on 01296 58 53 95.
