Code of Conduct
The latest approved Code of Conduct is available on both AVDC and the Parish websites.
A request for white lining to be installed on the corner of Nelson Road and Dunstable Road has been sent to Bucks CC. The Parish Council continues to liaise with Bucks CC as to the best way of safely opening up the footpath leading from the Recreation ground to Dunstable Road, with the possibility of installing roadside railings and a self closing gate at the end of the footpath.
Bucks CC are searching archives to establish whether or not the footpath across Northall Village Green is in the right place and Anglian Water has been contacted regarding the flooding which takes place in Chapel Lane.
Bucks CC are constantly being pressured by the Parish Council to attend to the pot holes in all the villages. Parishioners are able to phone through their personal concerns to Transport for Buckinghamshire on phone number 0845 230 2882.
If a streetlight in the Parish is not working would parishioners please report this to the Clerk and NOT to Buckinghamshire County Council or AVDC. All the lights in the Parish are the responsibility of the Parish Council – except for those on the roundabouts at Travellers Rest and Dagnall.
Thames Valley Police
Parishioners are able to sign up to receive Neighbourhood Alerts by going to www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk . By signing up you will be able to receive updates from the Police tailored to your geographical area. Witness appeals, Crime Prevention advice, Community events notifications, times, dates and locations for where the Police will be to speak to you about issues that are important to you and many other important updates. This is an important tool for the Police and the public to speak together to cut crimes and issues that are important.
Several burglaries took place in the Parish during the Christmas/New Year period and parishioners are asked to be particularly aware of anything or anyone acting suspiciously and to contact either 999 or 101 (Thames Valley Police) immediately as officers may already be in the area who are able to make a quick response. Also make sure all doors and windows are locked and leave a light on when your house is unoccupied.
